When Mr. Waters is not at Calhoun Mountain Education, he is a minister at First Baptist Church, Calhoun. In his spare time he loves hiking, tennis, reading, and watching reruns of The Big Bang Theory. He is inspired by his wife, Tricia, because “she has a passion for education and does an amazing job as Director of Academics/Student Support for Math & Science at Calhoun City Schools. His favorite quote, which reminds him to be honest in a loving manner, is “Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ” (Ephesians.) He shared that he has always had a heart for students who are looking to overcome obstacles,” saying that he can tell Mountain Education Calhoun is a special place because he “sees so many people who are exhausted from their day jobs yet come into our school and pour love into students.”
