Tristian Hooper and Destiny Payne were selected as the Students of the Month for January at the Rabun Campus. These students were selected based on attendance and course completion. Congratulations to these students for a job well done!

The Northeast Georgia Food Bank, under the leadership of Mr. James Brim, donated several items to add to the students' Christmas bags.

Mr. James Brim, Mountain Branch Director of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia is pictured with Dr. Brandy Corbett, a Site Director at Rabun Mountain Education Charter High School. Mr. Brim provided a tour of the facility and made a donation for the Christmas bags for our students. Thank you so much for the support of our students and community!

Mr. Allen Blair, (on left) was Awarded the Sir Edmond Hillary Compass Award  "Site Administrator of the Year" for 2021!!

Congratulations Mr. Allen Blair ~ MECHS  Site Administrator of the Year!!  You make Rabun Proud!!

  • SIR EDMUND HILLARY COMPASS AWARD

  • The Compass Award is named after Sir Edmund Hillary, the adventurist & mountaineer from New Zealand who in 1953 became the first person to reach the summit of Mt. Everest. 
  • Hillary pioneered the trail for others to follow
  • This award is given to the site leader who represents the MECHS ethos & mission, who consistently performs at a level of excellence, & who expects the same from their staff & students. 
  • Understand that you are seen as a leader among your peers (other site administrators) & your efforts have not gone unnoticed.
