At Mountain Education, we strive to address the needs of the whole student. This encompasses all aspects of the child's well-being including social-emotional. On Thursday, March 7, our counselors will conduct a session using the Signs of Suicide program to talk with our students about suicide awareness and prevention.
Signs of Suicide (SOS) is an evidence-based youth prevention program designed to teach students how to identify signs of depression and suicide in themselves and their peers, equipping them with tools to understand and express their behavioral health concerns with trusted adults.
This program has demonstrated a 64% reduction in self-reported suicide attempts. If you would like more information about Signs of Suicide, please contact our counselors, email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
