Isaac Snyder was recently recognized as the Rabun Site's Student of the Year! In addition, each graduating senior received a framed gift which included a graduation photo, a certificate, and a Mountain Education Charter High School tassel. Our graduating seniors are: Blake Burnette, Aaron Thompson, Savannah Sanchez, Gracie Curbow, Kaylyn Shilling, Cullan Luther, Maggie Gaglio, and Dani Lanier. Cullan Luther was recognized as the High Honor Graduate from the Rabun Site. Way to go, GRADUATES!
Listed below are the accomplishments achieved and recognized for by the Rabun Site this year:
The Mountain Recovery Team Award - for meeting or exceeding the site attendance goal for the 2018-2019 school year (We exceeded our Stretch Goal);
The 3 Peaks Pathfinder Award - for achieving a 10% increase in the number of credits from a three year average (We exceeded our Stretch Goal);
The 3 Peaks Summiteer Award - for achieving a 10% performance growth in Proficient & Above from a three year average (We exceeded our Stretch Goal);
The 3 Peaks Challenge Completer Award - for meeting ALL three goals of attendance, course completion, and proficiency in 2018-2019 (Rabun Site is the only site to achieve this milestone during the 2018-2019 school year);
The Earn Your Tassel Award - for meeting or exceeding the site graduation goal for the 2018-2019 school year (We met our Stretch Goal);
The Rabun Bald Award - for having the highest graduate percentage goal in the East Region;
and last but certainly not least...
The Mountaineer Award - This award is presented to the Site of the Year.
The students, staff, and administration are very proud of the accomplishments of the Rabun Site this year.

It's that time of year! Come celebrate the MECHS Class of 2019 at our first annual combined graduation. All 16 of our sites will graduate together this year.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, May 25 at 1:00 at the University of North Georgia Convocation Center in Dahlonega, Georgia.
